In the 2006 - 2007 season, Hockey Agency Slovakia started a year round BP Private Hockey Academy visited regularly on Wednesdays by young ice hockey players from all around Slovakia (Trencin, Dubnica, Puchov, Senica, Prievidza, Banska Bystrica, Zilina, Ruzomberok, Dolny Kubin).
This Academy is based around the practice and improvement of hockey activities of the individual. Players are divided into two categories: cadets (the smallest players) and advanced players (older, more experienced skaters).
A maximum number of 12 - 14 players are trained by 4 coaches, headed by Peter Bohunicky, who has many long years of experience with players in the youth levels, juniors, seniors and junior National Team of Slovakia.
Our priority is:
- individual access to the player
- training and improvement of individual skills of the hockey player
- practicing in small groups
- communication
- visual demonstration of drills and skills
Practices are at the home ice rink of Dukla Trencin and J&T Arena of Marian Gaborik every Monday and Wednesday.
In year 2009 we opened the 1. Summer ice hockey training academy based around the practice and improvement of hockey activities of the individual. Academy was located at the Marian Gaborik´s J&T ARENA in Trenčín Slovakia. Players and theirs parents from around Slovakia, Norway and Slovenia where housed in groups of 2 or 3 people per room in following location. The location is pension ACCOM, which is located 5 min. by walk from the J&T ARENA. J&T ARENA is located beside the multifunction sporting facility and 200 m from BOF ARENA the home of the DUKLA TRENČÍN hockey club. The pension ACCOM is equipped in high standard, even for the foreign guests.
In the year 2009 we had visited the Spa in Trencianske Teplice, and Castle Trencin´s celebrations with knight competitions. We had organized different games and competitions and winners recieved prices from NHL Chicago Blackhawks and Stanley Cup winner Tomas Kopecky.
